Welcome to Grand Slam for Springdale

"Rare is the opportunity to change the future look and feel of a community. Not the future of a city's roads, or its sewers or schools, but how a town is perceived." (NWA Times Editorial)

On July 11th a special election will take place for Springdale residents to approve funding for the construction of a baseball stadium to bring a Minor League baseball team to our city. This exciting, unique opportunity will help decide what the Springdale of tomorrow will look like.

By voting "Yes" three (3) times on the ballot questions in the upcoming special election, voters can help set the wheels in motion to make Springdale a professional sports town, increase our revenue, increase our job opportunities, increase the pride we have in our city and help keep our city's road program moving forward.

A stadium and Minor League baseball team will put Springdale on the map as a regional destination. It will anchor a new area of development in our community -- bringing new places to shop and eat to Springdale. Best of all, it will not change the sales tax rate that we currently pay.

Three "Yes" votes are required July 11 to make this dream become a reality. The first two ballot questions help move our road program forward while the third ballot question approves the stadium financing.

• New tax revenue - More than $600,000 annually
